Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
